Owners Statement
From our family to yours,
at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LaMalfa, our number one goal is
“Bringing Families Together”. We are in the business of “Making Dreams a
Reality” whether your event is an elegant wedding ceremony and reception, a
festive fundraiser, an awards luncheon or anything in between. From the moment
you set foot in our beautifully decorated facility to the moment you depart, it
is the LaMalfa family’s greatest wish for you our guest, to be swept away from
the hustle and bustle of the day and thoroughly enjoy yourself as our expert
staff pampers you.
Holiday Inn Express
LaMalfa is independently owned and operated therefore “This is not simply a job
to us, we know that we are in fact dealing with people’s dreams and we will do
everything in our power to make them come true”, says Martin J. LaMalfa, Senior
Vice President LaMalfa.
The LaMalfa family has
worked tirelessly to make their own dreams a reality. Back in 1963 Michael and
Loretta LaMalfa bought a beverage store on Vine Street in Eastlake in which they
began creating party trays for small events. Mr. and Mrs. LaMalfa and their
sons began delivering their unique fare personally to gatherings around the
area. By 1970, the LaMalfa family bought a bar on Lakeland Boulevard in
Eastlake and renovated the building to make the “LaMalfa Party Center”. This is
where the LaMalfa family’s reputation as the area’s premiere reception
facilitator began.
In 1989, the LaMalfa
Family relocated to Mentor Ohio building a luxurious two ballroom, two boardroom
facility. Their attention to detail and lavish service proved so successful
that by 1999 they expanded by adding two more ballrooms, a galleria which is
transformed into an elegant chapel and The Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites
LaMalfa. Most recently, an indoor pool, work-out room, Penthouse suites making
over eighty stunning rooms, and state-of –the-art audio visual and Internet
access has been installed to each area of the facility creating an ideal place
to hold public events, meetings and seminars for up to 1000 people.
At this time, the family
business includes three generations of LaMalfas. Michael A. and Loretta, their
two sons Michael J. with his wife Lisa and two daughters Nichole and Rachael,
and Martin J. with his wife Vickie and their two children Francesca Rose and
Dominic Martin.
The LaMalfa family’s
commitment to community is demonstrated by the many charitable organizations to
which they belong and support. Mr. LaMalfa, a veteran of the Korean War, is
co-founder of the Americans of Italian Heritage Organization to which both of
his sons belong. Martin LaMalfa is also a member of the Mentor Rotary Interact
Club Community Service, Mentor Chamber of Commerce, Mentor Rotary Junior
Achievement at which he is counselor for the City of Mentor Schools, Lake County
Visitors Bureau on which he sits on the Board of Directors, Mentor High School
Career Day “Job-to-Work Program, and International Student Exchange Program.
"From our family to yours,
we will make your dreams a reality!” says Martin LaMalfa. Hold your next family
gathering, business function, party or simply stay in the lap of luxury for a
romantic weekend. You will be glad you did!
